Vanity Girl Hollywood !

This is my AMAZING Vanity from Vanity Girl Hollywood in Tabletop Starlet Black.
This vanity features: 6 salon grade dimming globe light bulbs , salon grade polished mirror,and a sturdy decorative frame.

It was $299.00 and totally worth every cent.It is my everything. This was a graduation present from my aunt in 2013, as well as a congratulations gift for getting into Rutgers University.  I have had it at my dorm for 2 years now and it is still fabulous.
 As you can see my Vanity Girl Hollywood is the centerpiece to my makeup. I only have about half of my makeup showing, but everything is clean and almost organized for the most part. If I have a date, however, this is NOT what it'll look like.

Las Vegas Dinner Dress

My first night in Las Vegas we went to my sister's birthday dinner at Bellagio. I really wanted to look different and elegant but a hit of sexiness. My dress is from Fashion to Figure. It's a 3X and I love the Aztec print and the high lace neckline gives the dress a sexiness without showing my cleavage. I wore black wedges because I have to be comfortable. I love my body but I was a little insecure about my stomach but I loved the way I looked.  

 makeup was flawless with lashes. I wish I would've gotten a more detailed pic of my face.

OPI Miss Piggy's Big Number

I'm really loving this Hot Electric Blue Nail Color from OPI. It was from their Muppet's Most Wanted Collection called Miss Piggy's Big Number. I put about 3/4 coats on because it is a little opaque at first , but then the layers packed on and it's so pretty. It is a nice shimmering sapphire that optimizes Miss Piggy's grace and beauty.  I put a Top Coat on that had red, white, and blue stars from Five Below.

Welcome Spring 2015

It is finally Spring! This Winter practically killed me. This winter was a rough one for me because I was caught in a whirlwind romance that took me away from my blog and into loveland. Well that ship crashed and burned so ... I'm back!  I hate that I get so caught up in the "WE" phase and not the "I" phase in relationships. I'm a Cancer so it's in my nature to do this. I have a TON of big plans for this year. My blog will expand to FASHION! I love cloths and I have great style so ..get ready. Also I'm setting up either an Etsy or TopHatter account to sell my awesome cloths to you guys! My YouTube will also be attached to these and I'm working on something HUGE! I'll let you know later on when everything is set in stone. So excited to reintroduce you to this GoddessinGlasses.

Fall Trend Alert: Purple Colored Hair.

There once was a girl who decided to buy purple extensions and put them in her hair. She thought they would look gorgeous because she herself was gorgeous. Her inspiration was a picture of Jordan Sparks with a mix of purples/ pinks/ and blues in her hair. This girl thought that having purple hair would be amazing. The results were a success! She loved the purple hair. She also did her makeup to match the purple hair. This is how it turned out. I was 21 when I decided to do this. Please note that this is me, Pre-beauty blog and Pre- baby! I should've started my blog then, but I was too busy doing crazy things like this. Now that colored hair is trending again, I decided to share my pictures with the world. Braids Hairstyle!

For this fall semester I needed a quick easy hairdo to go from class to class and my lovely mother suggested braids. They were skinny straight box braids. I haven't worn braids since high school so this was a little throwback style for me. I wore it down a few times then I decided to twist the top and have a low side pony tail which you can ( kind of ) see above. and yes... I am black. I for sure felt like Janet Jackson in poetic justice... 

Perfect Eyeliner Line! ( Excuse the brows! )

I had to post about my absolutely fantastically PERFECT eyeliner line! They are both deliciously symetrical and fantastic. Please excuse my brows!!!! I am growing them in because over the summer I had them waxed and the lady literally made them ultra thin. No bueno!

Fall inspired nails!

I decided I was feeling a little inspired by all of the falling leaves around me and I decided to translate that onto my nails! I used a Coral/ Orange Color From Essie and my awesome foil glitter color from OPI to achieve this look. The foil makes a cool leaves-esque pattern. It's very different than the traditional glittery colors from OPI so I was glad I picked it up. It's really fun looking. I have gotten a TON of compliments and I hope you do to!

Beyonce Shades @ Forever 21 !

OMG! I found the Best Ray Ban Look-a likes at Forever 21 for 8 bucks!!! I saw these and Instantly was like " These are so Beyonce!" As you know she is an avid collecter/ wearer/ rocker/ slayer of Ray Bans for quite a few years now!  No, I don't have those fly Chanel hoop earrings.... dare to dream..... somewhere ...over the rainbow.....

OMFG I cannot believe what just happened to me! My freaking adorable, terrible, amazing, toddler ruined my Naked 2 palatte! I was putting on my makeup at my vanity, when I left the room to go to the bathroom. Upon my return, I saw Max with glitter and stuff all over his face and body. When I turned around to find the source... I SAW IT!!! : (  : (    : (    I was soooo mad , but I couldnt get mad because he's a kid..... yeah, a kid that doesnt have 54 bucks to replace it. I didnt want to be ghetto and return it to the store , even though I couldve. I managed to salvage what was left but a few of the colors are gonners. so, thank you MAX. I really needed that!

After I filmed, I had to also, teach myself Final Cut Pro, on the MAC in our editing room. Needless to say I had some fun with the graphics...... Senior Year!

It's my senior year !! finally after all of this time. I'm going to be a 25 year old college grad. I have a lot of things going on with school this year, Like, me playing on the Club Softball team! I've always been a softball girl, but i havent played comepteitively since 2008, so I'm a little rusty. I am though very happy to get out of my comfor zone. It's been a while since I became social, hense, why I havent been blogging as much. so I have plenty of time to catch up with you!

Natural Hair Length Check

Hey loves, it's been a year since I cut my hair and I think it's appropriate to do a length check . Over the years, my hair has gone under some serious strain and definite wear and tear. I've used extremely minimal heat . I can count on my hand the amount of times I did my natural hair. I had my mom hot comb it twice and do two sew ins. Every other hair style has been a half wig or lace front. The extreme downside to all if this is that I really and honestly neglected my hair underneath! I really did! I barley touched it. I put in some Cantu Leave-In Strengthener but other than that I went au natural . I do not recommend that. My hair broke off and it was super dry and damaged. : (    Since its been a year I think I'm going to reevaluate how I do my hair and wear it natural for a few weeks to get it used to some maintenance. Today I flat ironed it with my roommates CHI flat iron and honestly it burned the SHIT out of my hair! It was cracking and was really crispy (so not good) . I put some grease in it and put it in a bun. I think  the growth is great compared to the entire back being bald! I can actually put it in a HIGH ponytail ! Enjoy everyone!

Why I'm NOT excited about Urban Decay: Naked 3 debut.

FIRST THINGS FIRST: I LOVE URBAN DECAY.
This post is strictly MY opinion and as a customer/beauty addict/shopping addict/target audience I reserve the right to comment.

I'm not excited about the new release of the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette for a number of reasons

1: It's tag line is "12  NEVER BEFORE SEEN COLORS!"Of course they are. Urban Decay has unique, highly pigmented, crazy colors! They have never really had a lot of  "soft rosey, nude" colors before.
2: It's way overpriced for the amount of "NEW" colors you get.#myopinion
3: I was expecting different packaging. The already Naked palettes are extremely hard to put in a makeup bag or travel with.
4: I've seen them up close and they are in fact NAKED!. The pigments are too NUDE. I get the idea of Naked and why they wanted this one to be more, IN FACT, Naked but there is such a thing as too nude.

I am in the same skin color family as one of my all time FAVORITE beauty bloggers Temptalia  . She swatched the colors on her skin and most of the colors hardly showed up. You can see her compare and contrast in full detail (#amazingdetail) each color to both NAKED and NAKED 2.

If you follow my blog at ALL you would know that my style is very pretty and bridal. My main goal in life is to look like a bride EVERY SINGLE DAY! ( Yea, I'm a little nuts..hense the name Goddess In Glasses). I DO LOVE the COLORS. They are right up my alley and under any other BRAND I would purchase.

I'm not saying that I wont end up buying it but as a customer I am not that impressed. It DOES look like an awesome palette for makeup artist and budding beauties to have in their collections. I think that it is in FACT a very BRIDAL, GODDESS-esque , palette and with any OTHER brand or under any OTHER name I would be excited, BUT for URBAN DECAY I am not. I love that they called it NAKED because as I already stated, it does blend in, but I am not that impressed. Maybe I'm comparing this to the first two palatts too much because they are SO DIFFERENT , and I know that they spent a LONG time specifically picking each color and naming them accordingly. I'm not denouncing their reserach, I am just not HYPED about this DEBUT. I am not clammoring to the stores or adding this to my christmas list because I am not as impressed as I thought it would be.

Maybe I am living in the past. Maybe I am so used to Urban Decay's overly glittery and insane colors that I'm not moving in the new brands direction. They are going from GLAM PUNK ROCK to MINIMAL,SOFT, NAKED PRETTY. They are taking their NAKED line all the way:BB Cream, Foundation, Lip Gloss, Eyeliner, Face Powder, NAKED BASICS, Pressed Foundation. Maybe I'm not used to the NEW, NAKED direction but I'm just not that HYPED about it.
 
I'm not denouncing them as a brand and in fact I love their products, but I loved them for their awesome pigments and crazy colors. I feel like the amazing SUCCESS the original NAKED palette attracted made them shift and forge a new direction with their brand. Originality is key to this business because there are so many competitors and options for consumers to choose from that you MUST create a new path way.

I'm all for expanding and forming new & fresh ideas but they trampled over their already amazing brand. " If it aint broke dont fix it." At the end of the day it's all bout Money and what sells. The NAKED brand is SO successful and  SO profitable, that at a business point of view,  I know exactly why they would want to create a Trilogy of eyeshadows, however as a consumer, I don't have to buy it just because it has the URBAN DECAY name on it.

As I've been writing this post I've been wondering if I'm going to put this on my Christmas list. Will I ask someone to spend $52.00  on a makeup palatte simply because it's "Pretty" or just to say that I own it? Is OWNING it and not using it better than NOT OWNING it and rehashing reasons why I wont buy it? I will probably make a guy buy it for me ( guys always buy girls stuff to impress them..especially glam chicks that DEMAND this sort of thing...lol ). I will eventually own it at some point in 2014 because it is so PRETTY but I'm not caught up in the DEMAND or EXCITEMENT to BUY it RIGHT NOW.

Too Faced Tuesday!

Its Tuesday! I wanted to do something different today by featuring one my FAVORITE brands : TOO FACED! They have amazingly pretty colors that are highly pigmented and full of sparkle! Love them! I featured The Romantic Eye Collection! I used these colors : Soulmates (Base) , Honeymoon (Base) , Ever After (Crease), then I smoked it out by blending with my fluffy powder brush! I used the Cat Eye Kit to top it off , then I used Glamour Gloss in Flirt and POOF! MAGIC!!! So Pretty! Love this look!
